Wrigley & Fenway: Why Two Owls is One Too Many…A 100 Word Fiction

There was a time when folks looked upon this broken old man as a learned scholar; how could they not, he was fortunate enough to count two wise owls as his constant companions? But they were sadly mistaken.

You see, Wrigley, who was the wisest of the three companions, became increasingly annoyed with the presence of the idiot owl, Fenway.

Each day, the murmuration from Wrigley grew louder,  “Why do we need him? Let him go find another shoulder to perch on!”

Wise owl Wrigley decided he would go instead, leaving the broken old man with the idiot owl…Fenway.
